Environmental Technology snow and gutter ice melting control panels provide automatic operation of heating devices in several independent zones. Multiple sensor input capability makes these devices accurate and versatile. They can be used to control de-icing equipment on walkways, ramps, driveways, gutters and downspouts, and can be programmed to provide heat for up to 10 hours after snowfall ceases to ensure complete snow/ice melting. A remote control unit is available to monitor and control snow melting from distant locations.

These sensors are used in conjunction with snow and gutter ice melting control panels. There are different sensors for snow, gutter ice, and pavement mounted snow/ice sensing.

Environmental Technology automatic control and sensor systems provide a cost effective method of controlling heat to snow and ice melting systems. Units are available to trigger heaters from snowfall or ice buildup. These devices can save energy over thermostat systems, and can eliminate circuit breaker tripping with self regulating cable in cold environments.
