The Ametek Gemco T8170 is a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor, meaning its resistance increases sharply at its specific switch point temperature. This provides "snap" action response and allows remotely locating the controller without modifications. Typically used with Motogard series over-temperature protection relays
- Can be used with Motogard series 115, 120, 135, and 150.
- Encapsulated in a special epoxy for rugged mechanical duty, severe environments, and good thermal conductivity.
- Switch Point: 170°C (+/-5°) / 338°F (+/-9°)
